For Jazz Appreciation Month in April, Dapper Street is proud to present “She Is Jazz, Live” an empowering woman of jazz event at the historic Biddle Hall on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University. Headlining the event are Billboard Recording Artists, Kim Scott and Paula Atherton with Charlotte's very own, powerhouse vocalist Gena Chambers! This "She Energy", smooth jazz experience will also give honor to our jazz mothers who paved the way; women like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald who have been incredibly influential in the development of jazz. Speaker to be announced.
